INSCA will reduce its electricity bill by 21% thanks to solar energy

In 2022, solar panels will be installed on the roofs of INSCA’s warehouses, covering an area of ​​7,000 m2.

INSCA will be more sustainable from 2022 thanks to the new solar energy installation that will be situated on the roof of the building.

“The goal is to reduce our electricity bill by around 21% thanks to the self-consumption system with photovoltaic energy generation, covering approximately 25% of our total consumption with our own solar energy,” explains the group’s CEO, Pascual Ibáñez.

The installation will have a capacity of 300 kWp, capable of producing an average of 265,000 kWh of solar energy per year.

Thanks to the solar panels, “at INSCA we will achieve real and measurable savings on our energy bill and a concrete step in our commitment to sustainability, as we will avoid the emission of approximately 50 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere annually,” he emphasizes.

Looking ahead, Ibáñez highlights the company’s innovative spirit: “We continue to explore new solutions, such as battery storage systems, to further increase our energy self-sufficiency.”

With this new investment, the group takes another step in its commitment to the planet’s sustainability. “At our company, we maintain a recycling system by product type, and our wood-based raw material comes from sustainably managed forests. Starting this year, we are reinforcing our commitment to the environment through the generation of clean energy.”

The installation of the panels on the factory roof has already begun and is expected to be completed during the first half of the year.
