INSCA: Efficiency, innovation and industrial sustainability

bajar

At INSCA, we have been designing the future of tile display stands for decades. But in recent years, we have taken on a parallel mission that is just as crucial: designing a sustainable future for the planet and our own business. We are not content with being the best in design and quality; we want to be the most responsible.

Sustainability is no longer a trend, it is the only viable roadmap. That is why we have made a significant investment and a constant effort to integrate Efficiency, Innovation and Environmental Responsibility into every process, from the moment the raw material arrives until the tile or other material display is installed in your showroom.

We want you to know exactly what INSCA’s green commitment means. This is what we do, in numbers and in actions.

Solar energy for our production plant

Imagine our production plant covered by a photovoltaic installation that saves costs and, in turn, directly combats the climate emergency. Well, that is our reality.

Our most visible investment in sustainability is the huge installation of photovoltaic solar panels on the roof. A 300 kW power infrastructure with which we reduce CO₂ emissions by 91,600 kg/year.

The philosophy behind the data: This project makes us a model of Industrial Self-Consumption. Solar energy allows us to ensure that a fundamental part of the energy needed to manufacture your tile displays for showrooms comes directly from the sun, without polluting emissions. It is therefore a commitment to economic stability and environmental health, demonstrating that efficiency and ethics go hand in hand.

Waste management: closing the loop with operational intelligence

In the manufacturing industry, waste management is the Achilles heel of many companies. At INSCA, as tile display rack manufacturers, we have turned it into an operational strength based on the philosophy of the circular economy: nothing is wasted, everything is transformed.

Our strategy is based on three pillars:

1. Prevention

Before a material becomes waste, we work to prevent it. Our design teams use advanced cutting and nesting optimisation software. This means that every sheet of metal and every board of wood is used to its full potential, reducing waste to the bare minimum.

2. Rigorous sorting and maximum recovery

We have implemented an extremely detailed sorting system at source in all our facilities.

  1. We separate wood by type, ensuring that clean, high-quality waste is sent to companies that reuse it to manufacture new boards or generate biomass.
  2. Metals are sorted to maximise their smelting value.
  3. Cardboard, paper and plastics go through recycling systems.

We guarantee that the percentage of material that ends up in landfill is minimal, as our priority is recovery: converting waste into a new resource.

3. Responsible raw materials

The commitment begins before production. In this regard, we actively work with suppliers who guarantee that the wood we use comes from sustainably managed forests with traceability certifications. This ensures that the base material for our ceramic tile display systems supports a cycle of reforestation and forest sustainability.

Double ISO certification: quality and environment under audited control

INSCA renueva sus certificados ISO y refuerza la sostenibilidad como fabricantes de expositores de azulejos

For all this effort to be credible, it must be verifiable. That is why we have obtained and maintain the two most important management certifications globally: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

  • ISO 9001 guarantees that all INSCA processes are managed under a controlled quality system, focused on customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and efficiency in every phase of the work.
  • ISO 14001 certifies INSCA’s environmental commitment. It accredits that we control and minimise the impact of our activities on the environment by applying sustainable criteria in the use of materials, waste management and energy efficiency.

Both certifications reinforce our commitment and demonstrate that our quality and respect for the environment are audited and verified commitments.

Environmental Action and Improvement Programme: Our next steps

At INSCA, every process is under constant operational monitoring. Those responsible for ISOS, together with the maintenance department, carry out exhaustive checks to ensure that all legal requirements, international standards and our own improvement objectives are met.

This commitment does not stop there. Recently, with the support of the Regional Ministry of the Environment, Infrastructure and Territory and through the Chamber of Commerce, we have participated in the Environmental Action and Improvement Programme.

Through this programme, we have reviewed five of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are fundamental to our activity. The report sent to us by the Castellón Chamber of Commerce details an action plan tailored to our reality, with the following specific proposals that complement our current actions, confirming that sustainability is our strategic priority:

1. Climate action and carbon footprint

We are committed to combating climate change. Although INSCA has already made an approximate calculation of our carbon footprint, the next crucial step is to strictly control and minimise our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Reduction targets: We will set clear targets for reducing our carbon footprint. This process will provide us with real insight into our environmental impact and enable us to make continuous improvements based on data.

  1. Logistics and local suppliers: We will optimise logistics routes to improve service efficiency and reduce fossil fuel consumption. In addition, we will prioritise local suppliers of raw materials and services, which contributes to reducing CO₂ associated with transport.
  2. Communicating our commitment: We will use climate education campaigns on social media and on our packaging to raise awareness among end customers and build a community around sustainable values.

2. Deepening energy efficiency

We have already taken significant steps (such as our solar plant) and are looking to deepen our commitment to a more efficient model that is less dependent on fossil fuels.

Efficiency programmes: Beyond our investment in solar panels, we will continue to use efficient technologies, such as LED lighting and smart air conditioning systems, as part of our programme to reduce energy consumption without affecting our productivity.

3. Strengthening responsible production and consumption

Here, we will focus on optimising our processes to ensure responsible resource management, integrating adaptation as a leadership factor.

  1. Waste reduction plan: We will implement a specific plan for proper waste management, with measures to minimise and separate waste at source.
  2. Recovery over disposal: Wherever possible, we will prioritise the recovery and recycling of waste over its disposal.
  3. Digitalisation and innovation: Further digitalisation of processes, R&D&I and certifications will strengthen our infrastructure and generate tangible and reputational value.

In short, for us, sustainability is a way of working, improving and shaping the future. For example, we attend conferences such as ‘Why climate change must be taken seriously’, given by the populariser José Luis Crespo (QuantumFracture), to ensure that our decisions are based on urgency and scientific evidence.

INSCA: The future is made here

At INSCA, Efficiency, Innovation and Industrial Sustainability are pillars that are evident in every decision: from choosing a responsible wood supplier to real-time monitoring of our solar plant.

By choosing INSCA, you are not only investing in the design and functionality your showroom needs. You are partnering with a company that has made a firm and audited investment in the planet, reducing its carbon footprint to ensure a greener future.

Our commitment is to continue innovating so that you can grow in the most responsible way possible.
